Provenance

Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.

Dress uniform ribbon bars worn by actor Don S. Davis as “George Hammond” throughout Stargate SG-1. Hammond was one month from retirement when Apophis invaded Cheyenne Mountain Complex through the Stargate. This prompted him to become leader of the new Stargate Command organization, a position he held with distinction for eight years before being transferred to Washington D.C. The character, like his real life counterpart, died of a heart attack. Production immortalized Mr. Davis’s contributions to the series by naming one of their space ships after his character.
