This is an original piece of artwork featuring a planet surface as seen from space by Rick Sternbach, made for Star Trek. Rick Sternbach was the senior illustrator for TNG, and helped define the look of the 24th century that would be used throughout The Next Generation and the series that followed it. This piece is hand drawn and painted on a piece of white artisan board, and was used to create negative slides that would then be used as a planet's surface as seen from space. This item remains in excellent condition, is signed by the artist on the bottom, and is from the collection of Gary Hutzel.
