This is an original piece of artwork featuring a exploding star by Rick Sternbach, made for Star Trek. Rick Sternbach was the senior illustrator for TNG, and helped define the look of the 24th century that would be used throughout The Next Generation and the series that followed it. This piece is hand drawn and painted on a piece of black artisan board, and was used to create negative slides that would then be used as the background of a exploding star in space. This item remains in excellent condition, and is from the collection of Gary Hutzel.
