Lorne’s Black BDU from Season Five
Production made, gray, nylon and polyester, zip front jacket and matching pants. Jacket features black panel detailing along the chest, Velcro pockets in front, black lining, and Velcro-affixed patches on the sleeves. The right sleeve contains an “Atlantis” patch and the left features an American Flag patch. No size available. The pants are cargo-style and feature a button/snap closure. Production has affixed a white label reading, “Lorne Feb/08” to the inner waistband. No size available. Also includes blue, nylon and spandex, long-sleeved athletic shirt. Production has written “Lorne” on the tag. Size M.

Uniform worn by actor Kavan Smith as “Lorne” in the fifth season of Stargate Atlantis. Major Lorne was introduced in the Stargate SG-1 Season Seven episode, “Enemy Mine”, but became a recurring character on Atlantis when the actor arrived to audition for the second season of the SG-1 spin-off. The producers, recognizing he had an established character, went ahead and transferred the character into the new show, thus expanding the fabric of Stargate canon.
