BSG Props Ballot Box

BSG Props Ballot Box

Production made wood box painted to appear metal, with metal handles screwed in on sides and a metal latch with lock hole on front. The box itself does not open as it is all one piece. The piece features yellow and black safety tape and an art department label for the “Haah Pakal” that have been distressed, as if the box was opened. Box measures 12″ × 14″ × 20¼″.

Provenance

Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.

Used to collect ballots for the election between Gaius Baltar and President Roslin in Season Two’s episode, “Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II.” This ballot box comes from the spaceship “Haah Pakal.” After a conspiracy was uncovered to rig the election in Roslin’s favor, Baltar was announced as President-elect.
