BSG Props Ballot Box
Production made wood box painted to appear metal, with metal handles screwed in on sides and a metal latch with lock hole on front. The box itself does not open as it is all one piece. The piece features yellow and black safety tape wrapped around the faux lid that has been distressed, as if the box was opened. Box measures 12″ × 14″ × 20¼″.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
Used to collect ballots for the election between Gaius Baltar and President Roslin in Season Two’s episode, “Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II.” Production did not disclose as to which spaceship this ballot box came from. After a conspiracy was uncovered to rig the election in Roslins favor, Baltar was announced as President-elect.
