BSG Props Sharon’s Nuclear Timer

BSG Props Sharon’s Nuclear Timer

Production-made black plastic timer. Features a brass fitted ring on the top for decoration and yellow warning stripes painted on the side with a power switch on one end and a blinking light with “ARMED” engraved beside. The device does light up. Powered by a 9 volt battery (included). Measures 3.65″ × 5¼″ × 1″.

Provenance

Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.

To clear the path for Galactica and the rest of the fleet to reach Kobol, Lt Sharon “Boomer” Valerii and Lt. Margaret “Racetrack” Edmondson pilot a Raptor into an enemy Cylon Baseship. Once inside, Sharon frees a nuke that was stuck in place and sets the timer. The two then fly out and complete their mission by destroying the Basestar. Production noted this as a backup nuclear timer, for the one used by Grace Park in the Season One episode “Kobol’s Last Gleaming: Part 2.” This is the clean un-used timer.
