BSG Props Set of Captain Pins and Pegasus Patch
This represents the second and final version of the Pegasus patch as seen on screen. The patch has a blue background with silver stitching. It measures 3⅝″ round. Gold dart-shaped collar pin with silver border and overlaid with double silver chevron bars. Collar insignia contains a screw-type backing with a small pin at top to hold it in place. Pin measures 1″ × ½″.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
One set of screen used Captain rank insignia pins worn on the collar of duty blues, BDUs, or dress grays. This insignia indicates the wearer has attained the rank of Captain in the Colonial Fleet. Standard blue and silver patch used on Battlestar Pegasus crew uniforms. Two styles of this patch were made during the shows run. The first was the same color as the standard Galactica Patch (V3), but it was decided a different look was needed to differentiate the two crews, so the colors were changed to blue and silver.
