Photographs: © Premiere Props
During the epic production of the "Lord of the Rings" films, director Peter Jackson insisted that every department went for the highest standards. This included the action sequences, and he made sure that the actors were highly trained in all weaponry. Among the teachers hired was sword master Alice Capper-Starr. This is an actor's off camera practice sword used during production. Hard foam hilt and handle with fabric wrapped grip. Foam blade with rigid core and black fabric cover. Approx. 44" long and 9" wide at hand guard. Oversized item. Additional postage required.
