Star Wars Ren Ralston Designed Marin Unit ILM Crew
Photographs: © Premiere Props
Four time Oscar winner Special Effects legend Ken Ralston designed this extremely rare "Star Wars Marin Unit" t-shirt for the ILM effects crew. It shows a naked and very relaxed Darth Vader in a hot tub while the Empire burns around him. The back of the shirt tells the moral: "The Empire Lays Back". Idea being that all the hardworking ILM crew needed to "chill"! This is a Hanes French-Cut short sleeve off-white woman's t-shirt. It was in the personal collection of fellow legendary Special Effects artist Kim Knowlton who worked on many of the Star Wars films, and comes with a Letter of Provenience from her. (Size S).
