Star Wars Ren Ralston Designed Marin Unit ILM Crew

Special Effects wizard and four time Oscar winner Ken Ralston who worked at ILM for over 20 years designed this extremely rare "Star Wars Marin Unit" t-shirt for the ILM effects crew. The idea was that the overworked crew needed to "chill" now and then, especially since they had to uphold the reputation of the laid-back Marin County where they were based. The front has "Star Wars - Marin Unit" with Ralston's illustration of Darth Vader relaxing naked in a hot tub (it is Marin after all!) while fire burns behind him. On the back is written: "The Empire Lays Back". This is a Hanes French-Cut short sleeve off-white woman's t-shirt. It was in the personal collection of fellow legendary Special Effects artist Kim Knowlton, and comes with a Letter of Provenience from her. (Size S).
