In Old Chicago Jack O'Leary (Don Ameche) Costume
Photographs: © Premiere Props
From one of the first and greatest big-epic disaster films, "In Old Chicago" (1937), the classic blockbuster about the Great Fire of 1871 that virtually leveled the great city. This is star Don Ameche's hero screen worn vest in his portrayal of Jack O'Leary one of the brothers of the "celebrated" family held responsible for starting this inferno. The vest includes the original "Union Costume" label with Don Ameche's name. There are some tears to the lining due to both production use and age.
