Larry Hagman Collection Benes Bear Mask

This is one of famed New York artist Barton Lidice Benes most unusual works. This piece entitled "Bear Mask" is made up entirely of sea shells. Being that Larry Hagman, who had this in his private collection, lived in Malibu and was, with his wife Maj, an avid sea shell collector, as well as being an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, this was the perfect piece for his home. Size: 18 1/2”x10 1/2”. Obtained from the Larry Hagman estate. Professionally appraised at $2,500.
