Underworld: Evolution Horse Armor

A rare collectable indeed! This is a set of screen used practical horse armor with metal head piece, scaled neck piece, and leather cinch belt used in “Underworld: Evolution” (2006) . The inside of the horse head piece is cushioned with a special protective rug-like material, and the inside of the neck piece is cushioned with protective foam per the ASPCA type organization that monitored any and all “unusual apparatuses” attached to an animal. Getting their approval is not easy. The design has to be to exacting details, and usually goes through many variations and “improvements” before it is approved, so as not to injure the horse in anyway. And once it is approved, training the horses to “accept” this armor (especially the faceplate), is also extremely difficult and time consuming, (and many horses just will not accept it), so it is not used very often as “practical armor”. Recently actual horse armor has been replaced with CGI armor. However, even with that advance technology it never looks the same or has the same dramatic impact as the real thing. The horse face plate has a dramatic design, especially with the long front and high-lid eye openings, which makes it a magnificent display piece. (Head piece 29x14x13, Neck piece 35x15x4). Oversized item. Additional Postage Required.
