Fantastic Four (2005) Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis) Production Used Animatronic Hands

This auction item is from Fantastic Four (2005).

This is Ben Grimm’s (Portrayed by Michael Chiklis) Production Used Prop Item.

This pair of production-used animatronic hands was created for the character Ben Grimm / The Thing, portrayed by Michael Chiklis, in Fantastic Four (2005). Constructed over translucent fiberglass shells with articulated carbon-fiber fingers, exposed mechanical linkages, and internal hardware, the hands were designed to provide realistic finger and thumb movement for close-up shots where the character’s massive rock-like hands required expressive, lifelike motion. Handwritten production markings and the custom-fitted construction further demonstrate their use during the film’s practical effects production.
