This impressive screen-worn Gorilla Soldier costume ensemble was created for Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes (2001) and includes the character’s chest armor, skirt armor, shirt, hooded undershirt, pants, shin guards, hood, helmet, spaulders, bracelet, costume components, gloves, and boots. Worn by one of General Thade’s fearsome gorilla warriors during the film’s climactic battle between the ape army and the human resistance, the costume features the heavily armored, militaristic design that distinguished the gorilla infantry as the brutal enforcers of ape rule.
