Star Trek: The Next Generation Static Mark IV Tricorder

This is a static Mark IV Tricorder seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Starfleet Tricorders served as scientific instruments used by the crew to take readings of there surroundings on away missions, as well as served several other functions. This item was featured as set dressing, and as a "holster stuffer" for when background actors need a version of the tricorder on there uniforms, but did not call for a fully functioning electronics version. The main Tricorder is made form vacu-formed plastic and has been painted grey with a silver paint mist. The item has rectangular indentations on the front and top where applied graphics would have been, and the door of the Tricorder is drawn on with black ink. The piece also features a black adhesive the bottom, and a holster made from hard leather that is covered in black felt, with a large section of Velcro on the back. Tricorder measures 4" x 3" x 2", and the holster measures 4.5" x 3.5" x 2.5". From the collection of Joe Longo.
