This is an original piece of artwork featuring a star field by Rick Sternbach, made for Star Trek. Rick Sternbach was the senior illustrator for TNG, and helped define the look of the 24th century that would be used throughout The Next Generation and the series that followed it. This piece is hand drawn and painted on a piece of black foam core, and was used to create negative slides that would then be used as the background of a nebula in space. This item remains in excellent condition and measures 20" x 15". From the collection of Gary Hutzel.
