Battlestar Galactica Viper & Galactica Patch Set

Production Description: Set of two patches, the first is the standard patch used on Battlestar Galactica crew uniforms. Four styles of this patch were made during the shows run. This is the second version, similar to the other, but on a darker fabric, as the previous fabric was no longer available. The Viper patch seen on the shoulder of flight suits worn by Viper pilots. Patches like this appeared in numerous episodes throughout the series. Included is a Standard Pilot Wing pin. Junior officers with flight status wear Standard Pilot Wings with short, swept-down wings. These wings have been weathered and were worn by background actors during the run of Battlestar Galactica. Technical Description: Both patches are production made. The Galactica version 2 patch has a bronze background with black stitching. The patch measures 3in round in diameter. The Viper patch has an off-white cloth background with the silhouette of a Viper Mk VII embroidered in blue, the word "Viper" in black and red stitching, and a black embroidered border. Patch measures 3½in in diameter. Weathered, screen-used cast metal and electroplated silver pin. Measures approximately 1.5in.
