Thor’s Chair

Production made chair prop, chair sits on a black wooden base split in the middle to accommodate the seat with a horizontal cylinder decorated with circular Norse designs on either side of the seat, on the rear of the base is a metal bracket with a circular metal mounting point to hold the Thor puppet in place, a 0.125in blue hose extends from the back of the base on either side, chair armrests are decorated with silver metal sheeting and black and gray pinstripes, the left armrest has gray faux buttons, the armrests hang from the cylinders on hinges and raise in tandem when either armrest is lifted, rising from the cylinders are a tower on either side of the seat decorated with silver metal sheeting and black and gray pinstripes, jutting from the back of each cylinder is a small platform decorated with silver metal sheeting and black and gray pinstripes, the seat is a metal frame with circular silver seat cushions, the seat back is split in the middle to accommodate the Thor puppet’s mounting pole, included are five additional seat cushions which can be attached to the back of the seat back with Velcro. Measures approx. 71in tall x 51in × 36in at widest points.

The chair of the Supreme Commander of the Asgard, seen in numerous episodes of SG-1. As an animatronic puppet, Thor was often seen sitting in this chair rather than moving about a set. The rear of the seat includes a mounting point to hold the puppet in place. Both sides of the chair feature Asgard designs. Measures 71in × 51in × 36in.
