Jaffa Warrior Costume (Size 36)

Production Description: A complete Jaffa warrior costume, used in the production of Stargate SG-1. The Jaffa served as the assault force for the Goa'uld -- the primary antagonist throughout the first eight seasons of the series -- as well as incubators for the larval form of their masters. Teal'c, a lead character portrayed by Christopher Judge, was a member of this race.
Technical Description: Production-made costume consisting of: heavy black wool trousers highlighted with silver paint to simulate chainmail with black elastic suspenders and Velcro front closure, size 34/28, production marked "M 34" inside. Heavy black wool jacket highlighted with silver paint to simulate chainmail with five leather and metal buckle front strap closures and black drawstring collar, size 36. Rubber collar armor painted silver with gold and silver detailing with Velcro, webbing, and snaps attachment points, lined with black neoprene. Black denim vest with silver leather ribbed chest panels, back zipper closure, and cloth loop attachment points, production marked "NISAL VONAS" "GODFREY TSAO" "AZAAM DEEB" "DEMORE DAWN" "JORDAN PARKER" and other unreadable names inside. Silver leather pleated skirt with side lacing, black elastic suspenders, integrated Velcro belt, and 12in x 18in metal chainmail panel in front, production marked "M" "BRIAN NEVINS" and "YOUNG ARKAD" inside. Front and back torso armor plates painted silver with gold detailing with lacing and Velcro attachment points, back plate has 1in x 5in rubber beltloop and black Velcro belt panel, production marked "FRONT" "BACK" and "HARVEY THOMPSON" inside. Rubber belt with integrated black webbing belt painted silver with gold detailing with Velcro and clasp attachment points, production marked "RIBEL" inside. Rubber belt buckle painted silver with gold and copper highlights with clasp attachment points, production marked "JORDAN PARKER" inside. Two rubber gauntlets painted silver with gold detailing, top and bottom pieces are laced together, rubber is cracking where wrist and hand armor meet production marked "2" "DUKE SHOEBOTHAM" and "GARFIELD WILSON" inside one gauntlet. Two rubber greaves painted silver with gold detailing with lace-up backs, greaves are lined with burlap and brown leather, production marked "20" and "JORDAN PARKER" inside. Black combat boots painted silver, size 9 1/2, manufactured in Canada by Greb, production marked "9 1/2" and "TODD" inside. Collar measures 25in x 27in x 8in, greaves 22in x 16in, torso armor plates 22in x 11.25in, belt 50in x 3in, buckle 9.75in x 5in, and gauntlets 11in x 3.75in x 5.5in. Entire costume is dirtied and distressed from production use.
