Vala’s Black BDU
Production made, black, zip-front jacket with two button-flap pockets on chest and ribbing detail at collar and wrist cuffs. Features three Velcro-affixed, “Vala size” patches on the sleeves. The right sleeve contains an, “SG-1” patch with a smaller “Air Force” patch beneath. The left sleeve contains an, “Earth” patch. No size available. Black, cotton, ribbed, tank top with a production made V-cut in the chest. No size or brand available. Black, button-fly cargo pants with belt loops. Production has written, “Vala” on the inner waistband. No size available. Also includes black, nylon belt with silver metal buckle painted black. The black paint is chipping due to wear. Shoes are black, combat boots. Production has affixed a label reading “Vala” on the inside of each shoe. Size 8.5.

Black BDU uniform worn by actress Claudia Black as “Vala Mal Doran” during the production of Stargate SG-1. Vala joined the SG-1 team to help stop the Ori, who had enlisted her newborn child to be their spiritual leader in the Milky Way Galaxy. In the process she discovered stability, friendship, and self-respect.
