Defying Gravity Venus Probe
Production made probe made from metal with plastic parts. Features two sled type legs attached to a main body with opening and closing lid. Lid is controlled by a remote that activates a servo in the main unit. Features metal springs and gold foil accents and includes remote control. Probe measures 14.5in × 24in × 7.5in.
Provenance
Received directly from the production of Defying Gravity.
Venus Probe featured in the final two episodes of the series, “Venus” and “Kiss.” Probe is used by Laura Harris as “Zoe Barnes” during the fake Venus landing footage to show to the public. In the fake footage, Barnes is seen using this probe to gather samples; in reality, she dos not use the probe and recovers the object called “Gamma.” Production noted this item as being screen used.
