Stargate Wall Sconce with Working Lights
Production-made set consisting of: metal wall sconce painted to simulate being submerged in water with a semi-opaque plastic panel in front and a limit switch to operate lights in back; plastic sconce wall mount painted to simulate being submerged in water with two acrylic crystals mounted in front. Lights work. Sconce measures 5.5in × 8in × 5.25in, mount measures 1.25in × 2.5in × 4in.

Light-up wall sconce used by Michael Shanks and David Hewlett as “Daniel Jackson” and “Rodney McKay,” respectively, in the Stargate Atlantis Season Five episode, “First Contact”. Daniel and Rodney tapped this and other lights in various sequences until the two determined how to use them to enter Janus’s secret laboratory.
