Stargate SG-1 Sergeant Siler Taped Glasses

Stargate SG-1 Sergeant Siler Taped Glasses

Set of plastic framed glasses by Napoleon, with thin metal rims and white tape wound over the bridge. Includes gray aluminum case with production mark “NEW SILER - AR GLASSES” on yellow tape affixed to case. Glasses measure 6in × 5.5in × 1in opened. Case measures 6in × 2in × 1.5in.

Provenance

Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.

Taped glasses used by actor Dan She as “Sly Siler” in the production of Stargate SG-1. Siler was introduced as a secondary player in the Season One episode “Solitudes”. As the stunt coordinator of the series, he often appeared in scenes where he himself had to do stunts, and was routinely getting hurt in the process. These glasses show off his clumsiness, with tape between the lenses.
