Stargate Continuum Baal Sword & Scabbard - Hero
Production made sword scabbard and hilt painted gold and black with blue highlights in the sides of the scabbard and on the pommel. A 7in black leather cord attaches to the scabbard to be suspended to the actor’s belt. Hilt and scabbard attach via rare earth magnets. Sword measures 28in × 3in × 1in. Hilt measures 8.75in × 1.75in × 1.25in by itself.
Provenance
Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.
Hero sword hilt and scabbard wielded by Cliff Simon and Claudia Black as “Baal” and “Qetesh” in Stargate Continuum. The hilt is missing the sword (which was replaced with digital imagery) but attaches to the scabbard via magnetic attraction. The scabbard features the design of a Goa’uld symbiote on each side with red jewels for eyes as well as intriciate detailing etched into the piece.
