Ford became addicted to a powerful Wraith enzyme in the Season Two premiere, “The Siege, Part 3”, and left the city of Atlantis to start a new journey. But he was believed to have been killed aboard a Wraith hive when it exploded. The actor returned for a brief cameo in the Season Five premiere, “Search and Rescue”.
