Stargate Original Torment of Tantalus Art
Production-made black and white pencil sketch on high-quality paper. Measures 17in × 11in.
Provenance
Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.
Original concept art for the interior of the Dial Home Device central button featured in the Stargate SG-1 Season One episode, The Torment of Tantalus. When SG-1 travels to Heliopolis to locate Ernest Littlefield, the MALP, sent beforehand, confirmed the presence of the DHD but not its functionality. SG-1, desperate to get home, must find another way to dial the gate before it plummets into the ocean.
