Stargate Original Deadman Switch Art
Production-made black and white pencil sketch on vellum. Measures 17in × 11in.
Provenance
Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.
Original concept art for Aris Boch’s canteen from the Stargate SG-1 Season Three episode, Deadman Switch. Boch, played by actor Sam J. Jones, was dependent on the Goa’uld for a substance called roshnah, an additive to his drink with which the Goa’uld made his species dependant. Unable to use Boch’s race as hosts, they enslaved them in this fashion. Thus, this canteen was an important element in this episode.
