Stargate Baal Sword Hilt
Production-made black rubber sword hilt over a solid core. Has ornamental design etched into it and painted gold. Blue cap on top. Measures 1.5in × 1in × 8in.
Provenance
Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.
Hilt of a special sword used by actor Cliff Simon as Baal in Stargate: Continuum. The Goa’uld Qetesh, in the body of Vala Mal Doran, used her mate’s own sword to slice him in half from the stomach up. Includes blue tip where a digital, one-atom-thick blade was added in post production.
