Stargate Atlantis Rodney McKay Laptop Backpack
Production-acquired black nylon backpack with Velcro closures. Has rows of Velcro to attach to tactical vest. Comes with two foam filler blocks. Measures 13.75in × 12.5in × 3.75in.
Provenance
Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.
Laptop backpack worn by actor David Hewlett as “Rodney McKay” in multiple episodes of Stargate Atlantis. As brilliant as he is disagreeable, Rodney McKay began working for the Stargate program remotely from Area 51, called in to put out fires at Stargate Command as needed. He was an obvious choice to lead the science team of the Atlantis expedition, and his knowledge of Ancient technology also played a key role in Sheppard’s unit.
