Stargate Atlantis Ronon Dex Knife - Stunt

Stargate Atlantis Ronon Dex Knife - Stunt

Production-made hard rubber knife. The hilt is painted black with three faux screws painted silver. The dulled blade is painted silver and is made to appear to be a full tang blade that runs the length of the handle. The knife has been weathered by production. Measures 11.25in × 2.25in × 0.75in.

Provenance

Taken by Propworx staff directly from The Bridge Studios, where MGM’s Stargate series were produced.

Stunt knife wielded by actor Jason Momoa as “Ronon Dex” during the production of Stargate Atlantis. Ronon joined the Atlantis team in Season Two after the departure of Aiden Ford. Executive Producer Brad Wright says he wanted to create a character who was “dangerous.”
