Hero Defiant Helm Controls

Production-made control panel made of smoked acrylic and curved to conform to console. This item consists of multiple layers, the first of which is a negative film image where the graphics are clear and the surrounding areas are black. The second layer on the reverse consists of colored gels covering the clear graphic areas. The third layer is a translucent diffusion mask. Multiple countersunk holes around edge with a crack in the upper side. Measures 67" x 13".

Hero Defiant helm control panel used during the production of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. This is the main backlit control panel from the bridge of the Defiant set and was seen throughout the third through seventh seasons. Smoked acyrlic with multiple layers, which include a film negative, hand cut colored gels and a translucent diffusion mask. Multiple countersunk holes around edge with a crack in the upper side. Measures 67" x 13". From the collection of Doug Drexler.
