BSG Props Pyramid Ball and C-Bucs Mug
Production modified miniature soccer ball painted black with three red stripes. Vinyl ball, unknown manufacturer, core is most likely foam. Ball is weathered. Black and red paint has cracked over part of the surface. Also includes a production-made ceramic mug, with two Caprica Buccaneers logos emblazoned on a crimson and amber stripe. The mug measures 3¼″ in diameter x 3¾″ high.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
Pyramid is a popular professional-league sport watched throughout the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. This is the type of pyramid ball used in scenes with the resistance and the Caprica Buccaneers pyramid team. Production did not note when or if this specific ball was used. The mug is a double of the version in “The Plan”, when the C-Bucs are seen practicing minutes before the Cylon invasion.
