BSG Props Ballot Box with Set of 4 Election Ballots
Production made wood ballot box painted to appear metal, with metal handles screwed in on the sides and a metal latch with lock hole in front. The box itself does not open as it is all one piece. Features a torn, partial, black and white label from the Colonial ship “Odeon”. Only the “O” and “D” are visible. The piece features yellow and black safety tape that has been distressed, as if the box was opened. The box measures 12″ × 14″ × 20¼″. The ballots are production-made presidential election ballots. They have been folded to protect the voter’s anonymity. Ballots measure 4″ × 7¾″.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
A ballot box and set of four ballots from the election that ultimately led to Gaius Baltar becoming President of the Twelve Colonies. This is a ballot box from the ship, “Odeon” and four ballots. Two ballots feature a mark for Laura Roslin and two for Gaius Baltar. Production noted the ballot box and ballots were from the Season Two finale “Lay Down Your Burdens.”
