BSG Props Radiation Badge with 5 Indicator Levels
Production made badge. Badge has a black plastic face and nylon wristband with Velcro closures. Measures about 6½″ × 2½″. Includes five octagonal shaped pieces of cardboard with unused adhesive on the back. Each piece has a different level of black coloration, from all white piece to a mostly black piece. The indicator disks each measure 2½″ × 2½″.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
Backup version of radiation badge used during the series and five unused level indicator disks. Radiation badges helped the wearer to determine their level of radiation exposure. When the badge is white, the wearer is clear of radiation. As the badge gets darker, the more dangerous the level of radiation. These badges played a prominent role in the Season 3 episode, “The Passage”.
