BSG Props Set of Burned and Intact Books of Pythia

Production made brown leather bound Pythia bibles. First book features burned pages and stage blood. Measures: 6″ × 8½″ × 1¼″. The second is a production made tan leather bound book. Measures: 5,75″ × 8½″ × 1¼″.

Provenance

Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.

Two copies of the Book of Pythia, one burned and one intact. The Book of Pythia told of the exodus and exile of the Thirteen Tribes from Kobol 3,600 years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Pythia was a prophet who apparently prophesied yet another exodus and exile of the human race, with a dying leader leading them to the Thirteenth Colony known as Earth. It was not noted by production where these books were used, if at all, during the series.
