BSG Props Centurion Stand-In Vest
Gunmetal nylon Cylon Centurion stand-in vest. The word “Centurion” is stenciled on the vest front. Velcro enclosures make it adjustable to fit Cylons of all sizes.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
Vest worn by an actor in scenes that would later have a computer-generated image of a Centurion added in post production. Although Centurions were created to serve humans and humanoid Cylons, telencephalic inhibitors were installed to prevent the sentient mechanical beings from rebelling. This vest was worn by a stand-in to mark the physical space where a CGI Cylon would be added.
