BSG Props Galactica Podium
This lectern, sometimes referred to as a podium stand, is made of hardboard and painted in metallic blue gray with silver weathering highlights. Features a burgundy imitation leather pleated skirt at the rear. Angled top reading surface features a document ledge along with a solid mount Shure gooseneck microphone. Measures 36″ × 49½″ × 29″.
Provenance
Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
The Galactica lectern is an impressive piece when a speaker addresses the crew of the battlestar. Multiple compound angles and metallic blue-gray color give it a stately appearance. Production noted that was a backup to be used in the Miniseries and for other Colonial events throughout the series.
