BSG Gaius Baltar’s Books from ‘Dirty Hands’

Production-made books featuring cut corners at the right margin, both have brown covers. One has gold text on the spine and measures 9¼″ × 6″ × ¾″. The other has silver text on the spine and measures 9″ × 5¾″ × 1¼″. A “double” or “back-up” version is generally not used in a scene but is an exact duplicate of the primary prop. The “double” or “back-up” prop’s purpose is to replace the primary prop in the event that it should be damaged, rendered unrecoverable, go missing or is not ready at the time of filming the scene.

Provenance

Taken directly from the set of the NBC/Universal production, Battlestar Galactica, by Propworx staff.
