Hold On Herman Hermits Original Soundtrack Album - As the mid-1960's soon were overtaken by "rock and roll" especially the British version, rock movies became the bread and butter for studios trying desperately to pull the young away from their TV's and back into the theaters. Next to the Beatles, Herman's Hermits had the most success making "big screen" rock-features". Even mega-studio MGM got into the act with "Hold On!" (1966), in which the Hermits travel the country, singing, and dealing with a spaceship (as one does when you're a 1960 rock group!). Teen queen Shelley Fabares, known for starring in the hit TV Series, "The Donna Reed Show", and singing the hit song "Johnny Angel" (as well as her romantic liaison with Elvis) co-stars. This is an extremely rare 33rpm LP Sealed Mint Promo 1966 Original Soundtrack record. It includes the "cut-out" punch at the lower right hand corner.
