Wizard Of Oz Over The Rainbow Original Sheet Music

Wizard Of Oz Over The Rainbow Original Sheet Music - When MGM president Louie B. Mayer first screened "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), he heaped praise on everyone, and with some suggested cuts, felt he had a major hit on his hands. One cut was good, the other, a disaster. The good cut was taking out the "Jitterbug Dance" sequence. The bad: he hated "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", which he felt slowed down the plot. Luckily the unusual protest was defaming, including from the director, and the star, Judy Garland, and he left it in. This is an Original Sheet Music of "Over The Rainbow" from 1939. It is in good condition, with some splitting directly on the seams of the pages.
