White Head Original Lobby Cards Signed By James Cagney & Virginia Mayo James Cagney's classic "White Heat" (1949) has been ranked #4 on the American Film Institute's list of the 10 greatest gangster films of all time. And with good reason. What with dark and realistic style (copied by future directors, especially Martin Scorsese and Brian De Palma), complex characters (who can forget Cagney's character of thief Cody Jarrett's oedipal obsession with his mother?), scenes of sudden volcanic violence never before filmed (including the infamous prison mess hall riot, and the final factory robbery in which the director used real bullets!), White Heat has become the pinnacle of the Warner Brothers film noir genre. These are a set of two original 1949 theatrical Lobby Cards from the film. Both are signed by stars James Cagney and Virginia Mayo. Cards are 11"x14".
