The Ware Theater in Beverly, Massachusetts was originally constructed in 1920, and was so lavish a movie theater that Hollywood Studios would send their stars over for personal appearances. Truly one of the rarest in movie poster memorabilia are "advanced" posters of movies and announcements of personal appearances. Whereas actual posters would sometimes be saved, or have to be sent back to the studio, these specially made preview posters were routinely thrown away since they could not be used again. This is one of these extremely rare preview posters, announcing the showing of "Jimmy Cagney in Frisco Kid" (1935), with Ginger Rogers "in person" at the Ware Theater. On its own this is a treasured piece of Hollywood history, however it is enhanced by being autographed both by James Cagney and Ginger Rogers!
