Almost sixty years ago there was a TV comedy about a bus driver, his wife, and his friend and neighbor the sewer worker and his wife, who all lived in one of the most depressing tiny piss-poor tenement two room apartments in New York. It was shot in a sort of soot-gray. And yet, it still resounds as one of the greatest brightest TV shows every produced, a show that said more about hope and love and dreams than anything since! This, of course was "The Honeymooners" which started as a skit on the original Jackie Gleason Show, and ended up in many reincarnations. The most beloved being the 39 astonishingly brilliant episodes in 1955-1956. Ralph (Jackie Gleason), Alice (Audrey Meadows), Ed (Art Carney), and Trixie (Joyce Randolph) have become permanent icons of Americana, beloved, respected and emulated (the classic animated series "The Flintstones" was, of course a direct "rip off" of the show). This is a magnificent collectable for "Honeymooner" fans.
