Walt Disney's original classic "Tron" (1982) utilized cutting-edge technology to recreate the world of the inner computer, and the "glow" of the energized characters. ILM was hired to produce these effects which still amaze today. This is an extremely rare original 1982 Tron Special Effects Animators Crew t-shirt designed by the legendary Special Effects Supervisor and artist John T. Van Vliet. The "Sneakers" baseball style white and orange 3/4 sleeved shirt shows a rather cartoonish "Tron" figure, holding an extension cord and "plugged in" (in reference to the glow effect they were creating for the actor's costumes), and "TRON: SPECIAL EFFECTS ANIMATORS" written over it. This very limited edition crew shirt comes from the personal collection of the equally legendary ILM Visual Effects Artist Kim Knowlton who worked on the film, and includes her Letter of Provenience. (Size M).
