Baskervilles Sir Baskerville (Richard Greene) Costume
Perhaps best known as TV's most famous Robin Hood in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (1955), Richard Greene became the king of the star heroes of costume adventures longer than most "leading men", dashing and swashbuckling through action-romance-adventure movies from the mid-1930's into the middle 1950's. This is a period cream button-front long sleeve shirt with frills down the front; and pair of waist high black pants worn by Greene in his starring role as Sir Henry Baskerville, in the first of the great Warner Brother's Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce series of Sherlock Holmes films, "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (1939). Both pieces have the official United Costumers Hollywood tag inside that reads "Richard Greene".
