Robert Klane's script, originally called "The Dead Guy" found its way around Hollywood for years with everyone saying it was one of the funniest scripts they ever read, but that it was so dark and weird that there was no way to make it. However, it was finally made in 1989 with a new title: "Weekend at Bernie's" and became an instant box-office smash comedy hit, and even was made into a sequel which did even better! These are wood "bongo" drums used as background props in the movie. (Approx. 15" x 8 1/2").
