BACK TO THE FUTURE Unique Artist's Maquette for Unused

Composite Artist's design-proposal maquette of fully painted art, inside 21 1/2" x 29 1/2" double mat (with 14" x 21 3/4" window opening) for a surprisingly terrific poster design for this film, considering it was rejected for publication for this iconic and popular film. This is the "Action" version, with Marty McFly leaping through the picture frame away from the DeLorean. This maquette is almost certainly unique (as there would be no purpose for multiples of the same design at this early stage in the campaign) and represents a remarkable creativity in the artist's grasp of the magic and charm of this memorable Robert Zemeckis film. Mat displays minor handling with age, but artwork area remains beautifully intact thanks to the original acetate overlay common to these maquettes.
