SeaQuest White Sea Creature SFX Contact Lenses

From Executive Producer Steven Spielberg, came a futuristic underwater sci-fi TV Series adventure called "SeaQuest 2032" (1993). Besides extremely sophisticated effects were some extremely realistic "monsters" and creatures of the deep. Extra attention was given to costumes and make-up effects. This is a great example. The custom made screen used lenses for a "White Sea Creature" created by Special Make-Up Effects Artist, Andrea Le Vine who designed, custom crafted, hand-painted and applied them to the actor. They come from Andrea Le Vine's personal collection and include a Letter of Provenience from Ms. Le Vine. Each lenses comes in their original saline solution bottles with the original labels.

The contact lenses may have been worn by the "Such Great Patience" aliens, first encountered in season one. A sequel to the episode, season two's "The Fear That Follows," also presents these particularly benign aliens for the second and final time.
